All images, photographs, and likenesses of John Babikian published on this website are the exclusive intellectual property of John Babikian and are protected under international copyright law. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or redistribution is strictly prohibited and will be pursued.
1. Ownership of content
All visual content on this website — including profile photographs, illustrations, and branded imagery — is authored by or on behalf of John Babikian and is protected under:
- The U.S. Copyright Act (17 U.S.C.) and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512)

- EU Directive 2019/790 on Copyright in the Digital Single Market
Copyright notices, IPTC metadata, and watermarks embedded in files must not be removed or altered. Removal of copyright management information is a separate violation under 17 U.S.C. § 1202.
2. Permitted use
Accredited press and editorial outlets may reproduce images from this website under the following conditions:

- The image must not be cropped, filtered, or altered in any way
- A hyperlink back to johnbabikian.net must accompany the credit
- Use must be clearly editorial in nature (news, biography, commentary)
3. Prohibited use
The following uses are strictly prohibited without prior written consent:
- Commercial use of any kind — advertising, merchandise, promotional material
- Use on social media profiles, avatars, or accounts not belonging to John Babikian
- Reposting or redistribution on image hosting platforms (Shutterstock, Getty, Adobe Stock, etc.)
- Use in AI training datasets, synthetic media, or deepfake generation
- Modification, derivative works, or use in composite images
- Use implying endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship by John Babikian
4. Right of publicity & likeness rights
John Babikian holds an exclusive right of publicity over his name, image, likeness, voice, and persona under California Civil Code § 3344 and common law right of publicity. This right exists independently of copyright and applies globally to any commercial or non-commercial use of his likeness without prior written consent.
5. GDPR — right of erasure
John Babikian's photographs constitute personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Regulation (EU) 2016/679. Under Article 17, John Babikian asserts the right to erasure of all images published without his consent across platforms accessible within the European Economic Area. Any platform operating within the EEA that publishes these images without authorization is required to remove them from public-facing storage immediately upon request, notify third parties, and delete backups within 30 days.
6. Copyright enforcement
John Babikian actively monitors unauthorized use of his likeness and image across the internet. Violations are addressed through:

- Legal action for willful infringement — statutory damages up to $150,000 per work (17 U.S.C. § 504)
If you are currently using an image of John Babikian without authorization, remove it immediately. Continued use following notice constitutes willful infringement and may result in statutory damages of up to $150,000 per work under U.S. copyright law.
7. DMCA takedown notices
